MASAYUKI NAGARE

Nagare was born in Nagasaki, Japan in 1923. He lived in several Buddhist temples in Kyoto before studying sword-making at Ritsumeikan University. From 1946-56 Nagare began working with pottery, wood, and metal sculpture. In 1974, he received the Japan Arts Gran Prix Award.
